Customer and captain Ernie showing fishing capture on board

About Us

Ernie is a professional Sport Fisherman, Captain, Bisbee’s Black and Blue Winner, and renamed Wade Malloy in the movie BLUE MIRACLE (2021) and heavily fictionalized.

Ernie grew up loving all wildlife, especially marine life. He caught his first wild fish (a Marlin) at the tender age of six and would often arrive late to school after convincing his father to let him go fishing with daddy.

By the time he was nine years old, he was helping his dad catch small fish hanging around boat traders learning all secret fishing tricks. He always had a magical sixth sense when it came to wildlife and he spends his life expanding that skill.

Our Mission

Originally from Cabo, in 1991 Ernie took over managing the successful charter fishing business. After Ernie’s parents retired in 1992, Ernie worked tirelessly to improve and expand his family business.

Now his son and first mate Ernie Jr., the 4th “Ernie” of the Cossio generation, is bringing new online tools into the business. Senior Ernie believes his sportfishing work will go on, and his son will make sure it does.

Our boat, ‘Mucho Bueno, is equipped with the best amenities expected from a first-class sportfishing trip including GPS, Sonar, Radar, TV & DVD.

Our Team

Family-run fishing charter company in a world-class destination recognized for its natural beauty, award-winning beaches, cuisine & iconic Arch at Land’s End.
